Ya'll look into your crystal ball...

...and tell me what I'm doing wrong, but suddenly, I'm getting thick tips and grinding the upsweep/curve of the blade too thin. I used to just get a natural distal taper near the tip but for some reason I've changed my grinding style apparently (?) and my tips along the edge are thicker than the rest of the blade edge. Not sure what has changed in my grinding or what I may be doing, or not doing, or what I've changed. (?) BTW I'm flat grinding, not hollow.

My crystal ball is out for service right now but at a guess I'd say you might be putting too much forward twist from your wrists. Instead of applying pressure evenly by leaning into the belt you may be getting the cutting pressure by twisting the blade into the belt........

I get this when I put to much pressure on the belt at the plunge line and as I work towards the tip the pressure becomes less thus leaving the edge a little thicker, easy to fix, just make sure to apply the same amount of pressure along the entire edge.
