Off Knife topic, on the way to the knife show

This image is off topic about knives but my wife and I and some grand kids were on the way to the OKCA knife show in Eugene Or, last weekend, we stopped for a brief visit to a Oregon state park in Florence Or, with all its sand dunes. Took a couple digital images of two grand kids on the dunes, tele photo, photo shop enhanced. A bit grany but am pleased with the shot. Had fun playing with the image in Photoshop.

They were about 80 feet away and used telephoto with LCD view finder for the image, kind of hard to get used to taking images with the LCD display.

Years ago, I had a dark room and did some B/W photography as a hobby. Sold all the stuff, cameras, enlargers, etc, off for peanuts when I went digital. Had a 5 X 7 Kodak enlarger, cast iron base, big heavy thing, them were the days.

Cool shot Gene. I bet the girls name is "Sassy". I agree about the display. I keep trying to put the camera up to my eye.

Nice shot, Gene. You have a 'good eye.'

Thanks

I took the camera to the knife show but didn't use it, the show was really crowded and I was tired.

At least you got that timeless shot. The angles are just great!

Gene that's a really nice picture of your GrandKids, something you'll treasure forever. The "poses" are fantastic.

Thanks Robert, it wasn't posed, I yelled up, stand next to that tree, they were goofing around and I took the picture. it was cropped in photo shop and enhanced. Nice the way it came out, I think. I have photo shop CS2, way more bells and whistles than needed but fun to play with.

I don't care what anyone says, family snapshots are the true value of a camera. Knives will be here tomorrow, those kids will change everyday!
