Just wanted to let those who may not be aware, that there is a program out there called "Paltalk" that will allow us to chat over the computer. I've been using it ever since "Firetalk" went under, and am enjoying talking with several other makers around the world.
If anyone is interested in chatting, just go to
www.paltalk.com and download the free chat software. Install it on your machine and set it up. You need a mic and speakers, or my favorite is a cheap little headset from K-mart ($9.99).
The CKD has a fourm located at "Groups", "Miselanious", "Knifemakers&Collectors chat", which is hosted by Steve's Cutlery. Or we can talk one on one. My "handle" is Ed Caffrey, and if you add it to your "pal list" it will let you know when I'm on line.
