Uruguayan "Scagel"with blade from Mayorca

Late January I recieved a fabulous blade from Mayorca from Rodrigo Mulero maker of Scagel style knives as a present saying he wished to see what I could do with it!!A great honour, and a great fear to ruin it!!
Well here it is!!I tried to do my best!!
The blade with one extra stamp with a letter "A" in my honour!!

So here is a club sandwich!!And a rough sanded knife!!

The finished knife,no sheath yet!!Materials:Brass, nikel silver, spacers, mammouth molar (with a face like young girl on one side!!Incredible),amboyna und an axis deer crown from my ranch!!

I can see why you are keeping this one for yourself (beside the fact the blade was a gift). you did a great job putting it all together.
"Late January I recieved a fabulous blade from Mayorca from Rodrigo Mulero maker of Scagel style knives as a present saying he wished to see what I could do with it!!"
Albert--in late January, I had just about finished the guard for my bowie--the handle was roughed and the blade needed to be sharpened--today the guard and butt cap are 90%-the handle is close(still needs to be fitted to the blade) and the blade edge is about 70%. You Rock.........azmike
Didn't you put together a great folder too..........................

Thank you Steierknives!!Very glad you like the results!!It was hard to decide!!Then I "dared"!!
Azmike!!My friend Mike!!I sometimes am not in the "mood"and then I better don't do any knifemaking!!I usually make few sketches, look into my materials an when I start on a project I don't stop till it is ready!!For this one,I had sketches but no mood,so I fixed the bolster of my last folder kit,and made it in one day, sanded to near perfection next day(with nail files) and gave the final polish!!Next I cut tos of small pieces of brass, fiber and sone nikel silver for this knife, and then it was this weekend sticking and sanding to finish Suday just before sunset!!Now I will plan the sheath, and do it.....when I feel like!!That is the difference from a pro to a hobby maker!!
Enjoy the hobby!!I find it great to keep away from the "shrink!!"Used to build model locos before!!Now I get very tired in the eyes!!
Best regards Mike!!
Albert

Alberto, I am anxious to see what the sheath is going to look like!! If it is correspondingly as nice as the knife, it will be a beauty! The ghost image of the little girl, would be sufficient reason to never part with the knife---and it is so life like as to be amazing!!!
