The Scorpion

These are pictures of a scandinavian stile knife I made some months ago.The blade is made by Mattias Styrefors+Johnny Walker Nilsson in mosaic damascus(Sweden).The handle and sheath are made of axis stag(from my ranch),amboyna burl,black palm,padauk and silver fittings.

Elegant !! All the matching scorpions are a nice added touch I love the black palm, and the sheath work is superb!

VERY cool! The knife is an all-round beauty, but my favorite part is the deep etch.

That's the way damascus looks best in my opinion. No amound of real world use will dull the contrast in a deep patern like that!

Another beauty!!! As always your work is superb!

It's all great...I especially like the silver "knot" spacers...

And I gotta say...that black palm in the butt is drop-dead gorgeous!!!

A real pleasure to view this.

Here is the Scorpion with a "brother" shown in the Knife Kits forum here a few months back that was also in Blade of July 2007.

A Scorpion #2 is on the drawing board,with this new three scorpion blade from the same swedish bladesmiths,in mosaic damascus!!

This is one of the blades from the same swedish bladesmiths waiting!!
I think those blades are fabulous!!Some more on their way to my shop!!
