Basic Bowie

Been a while since I've been able to make a bowie. All my orders been for more combat oriented stuff. Anyway thought I'd make a basic bowie and this is what I ended up with.

9.5 inch long by 1.75 wide blade of L-6 reclaimed from a large saw blade. Edge quenched. Hammered finish left at the top, heat blueing left from drawing the back. Brass guard and tiger maple handle. OAL is 14.5.

looks great Steve! i really dig the heat coloration, and it somehow works with the maple.

I'm still out on the coloring, wanted to try something that wasnt run of the mill. One day I really like it then the next I'm not sure. At least its not the same as everything else I make. I appriciate the comments.
