Cypress Creek Bowie

This is a new one for me.
3/16 in thick O-1 blade 7 1/2 long.
Nickle silver fittings and spacers.
Mammoth bone and curly maple handle.

The mammoth bone and curly maple handle are what make this piece. Simple lines with a slighly more complex handle. I like the full width grind on the bowe profiled blade. It helps keep the lines nice and clean. The postition and layout of your makers mark, even helps with the transition to the handle.

A great Bowie. I just love those Whisky-colored types of wood. Great. I have a pair of Desert Ironwood slabs on my EDU and I just love the colors when the sun hits the surface of the wood. It seems one can look into the wood, depending on the incidence of light ...
