Those look too good to be your third knife and first sheath. Man, you really set the bar high. Keep up the good work. With early examples like that, it can only get better.

WOW!

That is a grand third knife. Sounds like your home-made 1x42 belt grinder was a big success. Here is to hoping we get to see many more fine knives from you in the future.

Incredible!

This knife would make a long-time maker happy. Alain, you obviously are a man of dedication and tenacity. I hate you. :evil

Keep it up!!!

Sheath--Homerun, touch down, etc.

Alaine---the moulding on a sheath does not get any tighter than that, my friend. The sheath should be very content to enclose that fine blade. Please post a pic of them in the Sheath Gallery. Sandy

Alain -- what a great looking package.! As everyone else has said, any maker would be happy to show it off. The knife looks like it wants to be held. Great job fitting the sheath -- what weight leather did you use? Looks like very supple leather on the top.
Okay -- it's killing me, I have to ask -- did you take the second picture before you epoxied the pins in? I'd swear the pins are aligned differently in the first and third pictures. Parts of me may be wearing out but not my eyes (yet)

Because the knife is not very large, I used less thick leathers, I do not remember exactly, but it is something like 7-8 OZ or 6 -7 OZ...

I took these tree picture at the same time, this weekend... The knife are been finished this summer... I did not touch up the mosaic pins, if you see a difference it is an optical illusion or your eyes...

Only alteration is in the third image, I took an image of the knife in the sheath and another image of the knife beside and then I combined them in the same image with Photoshop...
