Coffin Folding Knife Information
I am trying to locate some information about a folding knife that was called a coffin folder. The reason it was called a coffin folder was that the top handle scale was on a spring loaded type of device and upon its release, it popped up and the blade was mounted on the bottom scale with a small screw. As the blade was rotated to the open position the top could then be closed and the blade was then locked in the open position. I got a picture of one but I cannot locate it as it has been misplaced. The photo was at least 20 years old. I want to reproduce one of these if I can get enough info otherwise I may have to strike out on my own. Thanks ahead of time folks for the info provided, it is much appreciated!

Gilbert-
I came across this on ebay. I don't think it's what you are talking about, but thought I'd post it anyway just in case. -Dave |
