shipping was a little frustrating, grizzly is going to send it to a ups warehouse and then ups is going to pick it up there and bring it the rest of the way. ill have to pay duties at the border but its still gonna be a good deal.

grinder showed up today, but the old man is making me wait till christmas, as its my present. shipping cost about 300 including duties.now another can of worms what belts should i order?

You can buy belts in town here at Stewart Wright let them know you are a knife maker, and you get a discount. Get the creamic belts. Worth the extra cost. Other than that yoy can get some at www.knifemaker.ca here in Alberta, or order from any knife supply shop in the US, Another option is from the makers, IE : Norton, Trugrit, etc. Hope this helps.

so ceramic are the best. what does stewart wright charge for a belt? i havent been there for years, we used to get our hydraulic hoses made there.

so heres the update, grinder came broken , ups was a little rough with it so now were trying to settle with ups, and the i just got off the grizzly website and they now ship to canada directly. im pretty frustrated with the whole thing so hopefully ups will reimberse us so i can reorder sooner than later

Hey terence....Sorry, to hear about your bad news. UPS can be rather rough with their parcels. Bet if it was going to their house they would take care of it with baby gloves..let us know how it works out for you
