There's a show here this weekend? Hummmmmmmm I haven't seen any advertising , yet...well SHOT is going on and I will be down there for a few hours, being that I have "professional commitments" as they say.

I just hope the folks do better than the last one they had with that antique arms show.

same weekend as SHOT , Mandalay Bay Casino , starts Friday Feb 10th.

The last show with the antique arms show was a jaoke , there were 10 makers or so , this one will be awesome , the Feb show always brings in top talent.

Yeah, that last one was a total dog as far as knives go. I had drill that weekend and didn't get there till like 1530 and there was a whole lot of stuff antique arms wise, almost bought a pair of ivory stocked welded barrel Egg dueler pistols but my wife would of used them on me if I spent 25K..what made matters worse is when I told her about them she asked why didn't I get them?? ####...married to her for 18 years and I still can't figure the woman out.

I did see a long time friend there so it wasn't a total waste.

But as far as cutlery goes..it was dismal.

I might pop in just to see Bill Cheatam, he and I go way back...to his days at PPD and mine in the DEA...that is if I have the inclination after being SHOT all day. I have pretty much given up on shows though, just don't have any interest in them any more...

Well I wish everyone luck..I probably won't be going after signing books all day and stuff at SHOT..guess you can say my whole weekend will be "SHOT"??? Well ya never know..I mght not be burned out, but I will wait and see. Besides I have like 11 people dropping by Sunday and Monday to pick stuff up..

I am at the point where I don't have to do any shows, and the one show I do attend I attend more for seeing friends than anything. I just can't see any reason to spend all that $$$ to sit behind a table..

All I can say is Good Luck to everyone..

A.T.:

The show in question was held a little while back in conjunction with an Antique Arms Show...There were alot of dealers in that there as well as a set up by the US Mint, which I though was pretty good...but knife wise?? Dismal...

Hopefully for the sake of those behind the tables this one will be better. I dunno cause I never been to that particular show, so I have no idea what that "norm" is for it.

I just found out that Bill Cheatham is NOT coming up..called his place today so that pretty much decides it for me...won't be going....

Andy: NVDoM..Nevada Dept of the Military..what we call the Nevada Guard here in NV...
