Ok guys good news, I am going to get some orange wood tomorrow! Going to plain it down and get shipping prices for you guys. Email me directly with questions at "my screen name"1@gmail.com Just put "Knife Network" in the subject line to get past my spam filter. I figure on cutting about 50 lbs tomorrow and see how the first few come out.

Ok, I am going to get to the post office today and see how much it will cost to ship, and if I need to do anything special to ship it.

Left one has 3 coats of stain on it, the right has 1 coat of satin polyurethane

little further back

Now this is some dense wood, more so than I would have thought from the small test piece I cut a while back. It has a nice fine grain and streaks of strong yellow tint in the wood.

I am not going to cut any standard lengths out because it just doesn't make a difference, I am going to make them at least .5" thick 2.5" wide and 6" to 12" long.

Sorry for the holdup guys, I got it out but it was recently returned to me with a note explaining that the address was improperly affixed?!! What the heck!
Anyway, I am going to be repacking it and sending it out sometime this week coming (hopefully, I am in the middle of trying to move out of a flood zone :-( )
