Need a supplier for 1084,15N20 and L6

Can anyone help with a vendor for 1084,15N20 and L6? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1084 manufacture has been discontinued and the steel is almost impossible to find. 1080 and 1075 are being used in its place in damascus.

1080 and 15N20 can be obtained from Kelly Cupples in Yakima. He supplies it cut to your size requirements at very fair prices. I don't know if he carries L6. Email him requesting an inventory/price list.

octihunterATcharter.net (replace AT with @, of course!)

Hope that helps a bit, Mike

Mike, you're welcome! Two other sources for steel:

pacific Tool Steel in Portland: http://www.pmtsco.com/ (don't know what they have, just that it's out your way)

Admiral Steel; www.admiralsteel.com

Mike,
I knew about admiralsteel, but I did not know about pacific tool steel. Do you have a source for L6?
Thank you.

Mike, the best source for various sizes of L6 would be to go direct to either Crucible or Carpenter. The Dallas sales office of Crucible is used to dealing with knifemakers (ask for bruce DaVita).

Most mentions of buying L6 I see refer to Admiral.

Mike,
Thanks for the help. I did not see it on Admiral's web site but I could have missed it. I will give Crucilble a call.
