Electro/chem etching machines

Hey guys, here's a good source for an affordable etching machine that doeas a great job. They're very portable so don't take up much room in the shop. I believe he is only asking $135. for these complete units at this time which is very reasonable for the excellent results they produce.
Made by Ron (Bowie) Claiborne and he is devoting much of his time to producing these for the custom knifemaker world. Bowie can be contacted by email at bowie2002@comcast.net .

Does anyone have one yet? I need an etching machine and the price is definitely right.

I've had one for a few years now, and it works great! Bowie has done a bit of research and came up with just the right power to make it easy on stencils, but still get a nice crisp etch with minimal effort. The pad lasts great also, and I believe he still includes a bit of etchant with each unit..everything but the stencils themselves. And with the flip of a switch you can black the etch. Cool little unit!

Good machine, does what it is supposed to do and easy on the pocket book. In this day and time, that is batting a 1000.

I bought one of Ron's machines about a year ago and it has done everything that i wanted it to do. I etch my logo real deep and the machine does a great job. No regreats from me, i'd buy another one tomorrow if this one plays out. One of the best buys i've made. Priced right and works good !!!!
