Mt Man Knife Show Table

This is my working table for rendezvous and Mt Man shows, it disassembles for travel. For indoor shows only the top was used. I usually had a knife and folder that I would leisurely work on during the show. My homemade tooling and fixtures were used and on display along with some small antique tools. The top takes up about half of a indoor table. The other half was for knives, small forged work & wood carvings. Actively working kept me busy and I felt generated a lot of interest in my work. Also $2-$10 trinkets made up for sales of spendy folders during lean shows. Even sold some extra hand forged wing nuts that were rattling around my shop. Now-a-days we only go to shows as spectators but have fond memories of the ?good-old-days? but I still have that table, just in case!

I always like looking at your stuff, Gene. Did you make the wood post vise? That's just about the coolest thing I've seen all week.

Yep Dana, needed a vise to hold work when I was at shows, didn't want to lug a heavy vise around. The wood vise is the result. It worked well, used it mostly for holding a filing board, there are several holed drilled in the jaw so it can hold some roundstock.
