Why the ring around the inlay
I just finished this one and put the picture over on the display case but noticed again that I have a dark ring around the inlay. In real life there is a very small area of dark around the inlay but nothing like it shows up on the picture. Why does this happen and how do I fix it. I'm suggesting that the flat area of the pearl and the polished metal is so highly reflective that it makes that ever-so-small gap and end of the pearl look much larger than it would appear by the human eye.
The lighting appears to be nearly directly overhead. I would see what an angled back appearance looks like. You need to either color correct the photo or camera or start out with different lights. The knife metals looks pink. Coop |
