Patriot Fighter
Hi there,
I've been fooling around with custom knives for a while, and I was hoping for some feedback. Here's my latest design, called the Patriot Fighter. Blade is ATS34, heat treated by Pacific Heat treat Guard and thong tube is Nickel Silver Handle is Linen Micarta from Sheffield Both edges are sharpened using my new Edge Pro system. It's like a razor. Does anyone weld stainless steel guards on their knives before heat treat? I'd like to try that since that wouldn't scratch like Nickel silver. Let me know what you think. The picture had to be downsized a bunch to make it work on the forum. I can send better pics via email. thanks, Jared Last edited by Chuck Burrows; 02-06-2005 at 05:10 AM. |

I'm usually not a big fan of "tacticals", but I like those. Especially how the handle comes all the way down with the guard.

WELCOME to the forums and the outpost.those look like very nice tacticals. The pictures a bit blury on my computer but the knives appear to be done quite well.I would suggest posting these in The display Case forum. The outpost usualy deals with hand forged blades and you would probably get more feedback from The Display Case.Once again welcome to the forums,I think youl find it a great place to be

Howdy Jared -
As noted tacticals will garner more interest over in the Display Case so I'm going to move it over there. Second pricing/selling is only allowed in the appropriate For Sale forum which for makers is at http://knifenetwork.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=22 (I edited out the price info) Anyway welcome and I'm sure there are those her who can help with your questions....
