Mosaic Pins Q
Hiya all, I was just wondering while reading a tutorial on making mosaic pins, if I could intentionally decrease a bond between some part in the pin. Say in a circle pin there is a square with a triangle in it. Now Say I grease the square so it could slide out. Would that work? And if so, do you think I could get a good bond by taking it out, and replacing with a clean pipe, and filling with different colored epoxy. The intention being to create a multicolored mosaic pin. So, think it'd work??

Theoretically, yes, but having worked with epoxies for a while, I think it would be harder and messier than it's worth. Also there might be a problem of getting the bond to set if there's anything there to contaminate it--like any grease at all.

pins
I make multicolored mosaic pins. I decide which colors I want where before I start. Then I start filling the smallest pin first, let it dry, place it in the pin where it belongs then fill that one with the desired color epoxy. This works well but you dont want to go over about 12 or 14 pins the effort is lost because all the colors seem to blend.
