Burned On Ebay !

Just wanted to post this to let folks know about this guy. Won the auction, made payment per his instruction. No Knife. Contacted via email 3 times, no response. Ebay is looking into it, but I figure Im gonna loose on this one. Just wanted to pass it along so no one else gets bit.

Thanks and God Bless

Mike

Everyone has to start somewhere, but his score is -3, he is not a registered user and he has 0 feedback. Lots of shady people trying to make a buck over there. Sorry to hear that Mike.

Mike,
Sorry to hear about your misfortune and I do hope it will get resolved. If you still want a RMK #27, I've got a nice one (nicer than the one on eBay, IMO) that you can have for my cost through a local dealer, plus shipping. Here's a link to a picture. PM or e-mail me if interested. http://www.fototime.com/C260226F387C2DC/standard.jpg BTW, I'm not trying to sell stuff here - just want to help out if I can. I've had good luck with both eBay and PayPal so far. Maybe the situation will work out for you yet!
Good Luck!
Buddy

Of course this A$$hole will just change his eBay id and hit someone else. It's a shame, but it is buyer beware.

Hind sight is always 20-20...

I've had pretty good luck with ebay in the past, several times for knives and many more for knife books and materials.

This is why you have to look at the feedback rating! Also known as the integrity rating.

One of the things I look for is the number of repeat customers. It usually a good indication of whether or not the vendor is trustworthy.

The more expensive an item is the more I'll shy away from someone without a good rating.

I know this doesn't help much, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.

The ebay feedback system is a joke.i could give you a list of sellers with over a hundred positives on their feedbacks who are selling fake antiques to unknowegeable buyers.ebay does nothing to discourage them .and these forgers flaunt the few forums and websites that post their names and fake goods.
