Please HELP identify this 19th Century
I've had a very difficult time identifing this folder; very old stag handled prunning knife with silver metal blade. I believe it is French made but the maker isn't in any books I've found.
Makers mark reads in a kind of oval shape: Top of oval reads: FERRIER A DIE (maybe CIE) Center: (Symbol of three leaf clover turned sideways...club like on playing cards) Bottom of oval reads: MEDALLI D ARGENT (siverized metal) Folding prunning blade - heavy with solid action Overall length is 9" open & 5.25" closed Thanks Last edited by wpuckett; 11-12-2008 at 10:31 PM.
