No more orders for a while on Pantera's

Just returning from the Vegas show and had to make an assessment on where i stood with orders and such.......Sorry to say, I am not accepting anymore orders for Pantera folders, EmLums or Mach 1. I have other designs I want to introduce and need to get caught up on the back log.......

Thanks to those of you who got your place in line early, and sorry to those of you who didn't get a chance, but I have several new folder designs in the works as well as other fixed blades coming out later this year......

Todd Begg

P.s. if this belongs somewhere else, feel free to move it!!

Yup, gotta be a mixed feeling, doesn't it ? The excitement and reward of taking an order, then the bittersweet "achievement" of no longer being able to take more orders. I think it shows you're being realistic and don't want to disappoint someone but getting too far ahead of yourself. Congratulations are in order, Todd ! Jason.

Thanks Jason, You are absolutetly right!! I am relatively new to the buisness aspect of running my custom knife buisness and since it is my family's SOLE source of income the pressure is there.....I have to balance the urge to just keep taking orders and getting further and further behind.....I dont believe that I have achieved anywhere near the notoriety that I need to be able to have people waiting patiently for years for one of my knives!!! I wish!!!!

My belief is that I need to work feverishly to get my knives out into the hands of my customers relatively quickly, its the only way to keep the demand up, I have a bit of forward momentum right now and want to be sure to stay ahead of it.

My last rationale, though a bit far fetched at this point, I would like to build in some "collectibility" value by not mass producing any of my knives, and a more realistic reason is I want to be able to move on to my other ideas.....I dont want to be making Pantera's all my life!!!

Todd
