On the way

After lots of searches and reading, I finally have most of the parts coming for a high temp salt pot setup . Ed, thanks so much for all the materials you have on your site and the other info you've given me along the way. Between pictures, e-mails, your site, and some of your posts elsewhere, I got it all figured on what to get.

So, my stainless tube and bottom plate, gas solenoid, PID, and thermocouple are all heading to my house. I already have a forge body that's been sitting and waiting for this very project. I have some leftover Kaowool and may well need to get some extra to finish it. Also have ITC 100 left from coating my main forge, so that should work nicely. I even have some pretty thick plate I can cut a lid and base for it all.

Will just need to get some hose and the necessary fittings for the burner and stuff and find someone who can weld the stainless. Then find a place to order the salts. REALLY looking forward to being able to have more control on my heat treat and especially no scale .
