Question about liner lock on ddr2
I have a ddr2 kit that I am trying to assemble. Once I get the liners and blade together
the lock only bearly engages behind the blade. The bade is straight in the liners and it opens and closes great but the lock is not solid and will fail with modest pressure on top of the blade. I am thinking you must file the edge of the lock just little to get the lock bar to come over more behind the blade. My big questions are: How far over behind the blade should the lock come to? What angle should the end of the lock be filed so it dosen't get stuck or jam? Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks, Wyatt |

Sorry I just realized that I didn't describe very accuratly the engagement.
The lock bar only goes half the width of the bar behind the blade, not very much at all. Thanks again, Wyatt |

Hi Wyatt,
These kits need 'tuning' occasionally, and you just found one. Don't grind the lock face(s). Make sure your have it perfectly centered and open it HARD a few times. If this doesn't settle everything in better, then: Grind the edge of the blade where it contact the stop pin ever-so-slightly. This will retain the accurate lockface angles, and allow the liner to engage in deeper. Go easy! It doesn't take much. Let us know. Thanks for the info, I'll try that and see if it needs to be ground.
