Smithsonian at gunshow

...I went to a gunshow here in Savannah today. There was only one Randall for sale at the show. It was a recent Smithsonian Bowie with a big crown stag handle. Very impressive looking but the price was $1995. Too much for me to spend. There are usually several Randalls for sale at gunshows here. I went to the show looking for another cowboy action shooting revolver. I bought another Ruger New Model Vaquero. You sure do see an interesting mix of people at a gunshow. All of these guys were there.

Hi Jeff!

I'd love to see a huge piece of crown stag on a Smithsonian. It must have been an impressive looking Bowie.

Also, it would appear that you were in good company...

But how come 0] and weren't there?

Cheers!

Moose,
....Those guys were having some problem getting through security at the door.
I think I should go looking for nice stag crowns. They do make nice handles.

DW,
....Your post brings up an idea for a request. Any chance you could post a PIC of all the guys who work in the shop? There are several good ones from the past in the books but I have not seen a recent PIC.

Gotta love crown stag on Randall's............Kinda just goes together

Great Idea about the pics of the crew at the shop

There is a new pic in the latest catalogue but it is a bit small for these old eyes

Jeff,

I don't think that would be wise, I'm thinking we would lose a few because of the close-up photos of them located in the post offices around FL!

Just joking of course!~ But, I really don't have the know-how to begin such a task, and I'm also pretty sure the guys would really prefer not to posted on the internet. We're all mighty private individuals and for the most part, I really don't believe most of the guys see what all the "fuss" is about. Alot of the shop have never attended the Blade show and/or have not experienced the overwhelming positive response on an everyday occurrence that GTR, Val, Jason and myself receive via E-mails, phone calls, letters, faxes, internet forums, etc., etc.

You can however check out the newest catalog for the most recent picture of the shop personnel, this was taken earlier this year.

Thanks once again to all for all the great remarks and of course the patience as we work thru our present delays in production and shipping.-------------DW---------------
