2011 Nevada Elk Hunter

I had to good fortune to draw one of the Nevada Elk tags this year. I've been trying to draw one of the Nevada elk tags for 20 years. Coming from Montana ( where we hunted Elk every day of the season) that has been hard for me. So I decided to build a knife befitting of a Nevada elk hunt. Now I have to get my sorry out of shape butt in gear and get ready.

Here you go not the normal spit and polish. This one is made for & going to get some hard use this year.

4" Blade of 52100. Amber stag. Nickel hardware. Heavy duty 8-9 oz sheath.

That's a real beauty and it'll be a real user to boot! I love that sheath too Bing. Great work, as usual

Great looking hunter Bing. That's a lucky fellow who gets to tote it around this fall on a dream hunt.

Take care, Craig

Awesome, Bruce.
I truly hope - from the bottom of my heart - that you get to use that thing.
Amber Stag looks great with blood on it!

Thanks Everyone,
This is going to be my dream hunt of a life time. Drawing one of these Nevada Elk tags is really hard to get. I have 2 weeks off to make it all come together. My son and son inlaw were over on fathers day brainstorming a few preplans. Spending time with these 2 is what its all about.

Karl: You're right that amber stag will look good with blood on it.

Thanks Again
God Bless

Late getting here, but that is one "sexy" little knife! As soon as I saw it, my mind went back to the guiding days.....and I wanted to say "But it's and Elk knife.....the blade has to be at least 12" long!" At least that seemed to be the thought pattern of most of the "flatlander" clients I took hunting. (no offense intended to anyone)

Ed, Your comments made me laugh. When I was in high school I helped my stepfather guide for one season in western Montana. Your reminded me of one of our clients. His idea was the bigger the knife the bigger the bull. I think he meant bigger B.S.

Thanks everyone again.
