edgemaster switchblade
I have an edgemaster switch with a broken leaf spring. Someone said most people make their own leaf springs. I need to know- what kind of material is used in a leaf springand where can i buy it?
How do you form the material? How do you heat treat the material after forming? Can anyone help? Please! |

You could buy some simple 1095 carbon steel form one of the knifemaking supply houses, or McMaster Carr. I'd suggest taking a look over at SharperDeal.biz - it's a forum dedicated to switchblades. there are a lot of threads on repair and restoration of autos, as well as spring replacement.
