I have been doing some interesting reading lately about George Washington Sears aka Nessmuk. He had some very interesting views and some of today's bushcraft can be atrributed to him. He, and his influence on knives, is being discussed in another forum on a web site far, far away. Here are a couple links for those interested:
Nessmuk's Writings
This is a list of some of Nessmuk's writings to Forest and Stream magaine during the 1880s.
Outdoors-Magazine
An article at Outdoors-Magazine.com concerning his influence on modern edged tools.
This may be old hat to some here but I found it very interesting reading and worthy of sharing. I hope others enjoy it as much as I did.
