If you want real Micarta Jantz Supply has it.

I mean the trademark phenolic resin not fiberglass resins. For bulk call Sheffield's Knife Supply @386 775 6453 and a link to a link to their catalog, still 2013 catalog. They have bulk phenolic sheet. Some is trademarked, but all is phenolic. Pages 30-31, also second to last page has pics of their stock from canvas, linen and paper. The linen has a nice grain to it and a personal favorite.
Some folks make homemade micarta, but they are not using phenolic, but typically fiberglass or some epoxy resins. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the tint of real phenolic Micarta.

Anyone know if Sheffield is still doing business? I tried calling both numbers I've found for them and neither are active. Seems unlikely unfortunately.

I'm looking for some of that turquoise micarta they used to have, anyone know where I can find some of that now? Thanks

Lately, from Jantz, though Alpha Knife Supply, Knife Kits, K & G, Tru-Grit, USA Knife Supply, POP's, "might" have some, at least they have it listed. I got some new stuff, one with denim, off of Instagram, but can't find the name, I'll keep looking. Search online and FB, perhaps, though even though it's listed, it's often sold. I'm seeing Westinghouse now and then for sale.

Thumbs down Sheffield is out of business it would seem.

Yes it seems Sheffield is gone. I guess the shutdown got them.
Jantz does have Micarta, but though they have many varieties, none is turquoise. I just spoke to them and they verified that they had Micarta made from phenolic.
