Knifemakers supply catalogs have pretty good selections of handle materials. The one I use because it's close to where I live is http://www.kovalknives.com

Texas Knifemakers Supply, Sheffield's Supply, Jantz Knifemakers Supply, K&G finishing, to name a few. You can Search KNET for contact info on some of these, you can find their ads in every copy of Blade Magazine and Knives Illustrated magazine (available at news stands and cutlery stores), you can find them on a general web search, and you can find contact info on my Links page at www.rayrogers.com/links.htm
I strongly suggest that everyone, especially Newbies, get a hard copy of the catalogs offered by all these companies. In addition to the products they sell, you'll find tons of information on knifemaking and answers to questions you don't even know you have yet..... |
