Nickel Plating

Does anybody know how to do nickel plating? I want to plate some of my pistol/folder parts. Can it be done at home or should I send it out, Who should I send it to?

Thanks in advance,

Nickel plating can be tricky as well as dangerous.
I would advise seeking professional help.
Just look for plating in phone book or internet.

Plating Kits

http://www.caswellplating.com/index.html

I'm planning on getting their Plug 'n' Plate workshop kit, which is brush plating style. It comes with a variety of metal solutions, and their nickle kit is only $28. Give it a look.

You might want to also take a look at electroless-nickel plating. It has some distinct advantages over the electrical plating process.
