Big Knife
Just finished the 3rd knife in my Turtle Series. The blade was hand forged from 1084FG steel. The coffin shaped guard was forged from wagon tire wrought iron. The handle is Mule deer crown. OAL is 16-1/4". The blade is 10-1/4" long and 1-3/4" wide. Balance point is at the guard.
The sheath is made from veggie tan and covered with deer rawhide. The rawhide is sealed with old fashioned spar varnish. The belt loop can be removed for inside the belt/sash wear. All comments welcome and thanks for looking. Mike \ Series so far. __________________ Mike Broach Knives made to be used. Last edited by nc_cooter; 04-14-2010 at 11:52 AM. |

That's a great series, Mike. I'm enjoying watching the progression. What's next?

Thanks for the nice words everyone.
NJ, not sure whats next in the series. Got to catch up on some orders and some honey do's Cordless, wish I had made more pics cause it's too late. The day I posted the pics, I was contacted by a collector who wanted to see the series. We met yesterday and he bought all three plus one more. I'll be glad to answer any questions you have. __________________ Mike Broach Knives made to be used. |
