Gold Plating Corby Bolts
Can anyone tell me how best to gold plate brass Corby (hidden) bolts after they are installed in a handle and ground flush? I've got a plug-n-plate kit from Caswells. My concerns are 1.) what effect will the plating solution have on my stabilized wood handle, 2.) what's the best way to electrically connect the opposite side of the bolt, and 3.) when plating the second side of the bolt, will the electical connection damage the finish of the plated first side?
Thanks, Mike Curry |

A wet pad works for the ground and the pencil on top to color.
Felt is the standard, on top of a sponge. |

Thanks for the tip Geno. That makes good sense.
