Does Okra Grow on Trees?
This from Susan in N.Y.C.
Being a city dweller myself,Susan,this one is going to require some research.Okra..mmm I know lettuce does..Some fond memories of Summers when our parents would take us kids upstate to Grandma's house' and we would picnic and run and play under those beautiful lettuce trees. But Okra?..Wait A Minute! I think I remember reading a poem in my 6th grade Lit class that was written by Wadsworth somebody..Yeah! Under the spreading Okra tree, the village smithy stands-his hands, something,something..I Can't remember the rest , but I think we have what we were looking for, proof positive that Okra does indeed grow on trees...Those old poet guys knew their stuff! __________________ I once complained about having no shoes, until I met a man who had no...guitar
