Great looking knife! That being said.... Why are so many people making the sheepsfoot style of blade. Does it make a good hunting knife or is it just something dif to make? They seem to be hot right now and are cool looking!

I'm w/ u Adam. I was working on this style in the KITH right b-4 Ray's KITH. So I was using the supplies and the no point challenge.

So my interest in ur knife is one of learning, u did a great job w/ blade and handle, ur sheath needs some practice. I see what u meant about the curve I hadn't gotten that far.

The sheath posted in this thread has a full fold over and it fits. Teddy's partial fold over w- sewing on both sides of tip looks good too.

I guess if we make more sheepfoots we can practice new ways to make sheaths and maybe get some tips from these other dude's that make great sheaths

I already have a Sheepfoot designed and suplies to get going on it.

She may be talking about the fact that it appears that the blade's edge will face the folded side of the sheath. If so, that could be an issue. Part of the purpose of a welt is to provide a surface that the edge can rest against with very little chance that the blade could cut through it. The knife could easily cut through the folded side if the wearer fell on the handle just right (and if the edge faces the folded side). Other than that, the workmanship on the sheath looks great to me.

Now, about that lanyard. I like the round braid and have used it on some non-knife projects myself. I suggest that if you plan to use it that you learn to tie a small Turk's head knot on the ends. Really dresses them up ...

beautyful work, Rob. Is the blade etched or left "as forged"? I like it!

Ray was right in trying to straiten out what I said.

** Adam said it was a cool Sheepfoot, I share Adams interest in sheesfoots and agreed that BCROB'S Sheepfoot was indeed awesome.

** Then caring over from Ray's anything goes KITH, I had asked Adam why he stitched his sheath all the way around.

He pointed out the problems involved w, the sheepfoot design and as Ray pointed out in here the same problem.

What is the best way to make a sheath for a sheepfoot.

Sorry not trying to rob ur thread. Sheepfoots are not as easy as they look. BCROB urs is awesome.

Thanks Ray for helping me.
