happenings

Finally did some knifework yesterday. Been a while. Most of my weekends have been dedicated to getting our other house fixed up. I'm hoping to finish up about a dozen knives over the next month (need to fund some rifle kit build projects as well as a baby delivery copay). Maybe obama will let me borrow some of my money back from GM or Joe the Plumber.

Anyway, I was thinking of doing another knife weekend in July (18th or 25th). I'll have the "big" furnace down then for another crucible melt trial.

As hot as it was today, we may not have to add much heat for melting steel by July.

Doesn't you wife qualify for a discount by now?

I guess I have to come or Donny and Stan will make up stories to tell at my expense.

Should we engrave an invitation and send it to Chris? I understand he's turning out some really nice folders these days.

We can just put a slab of blacktop out front and not even have to turn on the forges!

I have to try and figure out my work schedule first before i chisel any invitations. Right now, it looks like the 25 is open. I'm supposed to be going out to he NV desert sometime late summer and back out to the Navajo land in northern AZ as well, but those probably won't be until August. Siberia got scrubbed for this summer. That was originally the July trip.

There will NOT be a hammer in here in July!

Unfortunately, we will be in Bryan the remaining weekends in July trying like hell to get the old place on the market the first week in August.
