Waited for years to be found

Hi all, I'm a newbie here, but love knives and like what I've found with you all. Hope you can help me out here. Hope my pictures post as well.
Quick background. My house was built in 1895 (it was originally owned by Noah Smithwick's Daughter Nancy Donaldson) The carriage house was later torn down and another house built. It was known as the "Day House" and was occupied by Dewey Day, a local carpenter. During a renovation project about 8 years ago, my neighbor showed me a knife that he had found in the bottom of a wall cavity that they had opened up. He knew that I liked knives and gave it to me. I happened to run across it the other night and started wondering again what the heck it was. I have not a clue, but maybe you out there could help. Let me see if I can get some pics up now...

Hope this works. Thanks everyone

That is a very unusual find. Obviously a genuine antique. I have never seen anything like it.

UPDATE! After further research, this appears to be a "Punal" knife from the Moro tribe of the Philippines, early to mid-twentieth century. NEAT!
At least now I've found the connection.
