My first knife
I told a buddy I was learning how to make knives and he asked me to make a Viking seax. This is the design we came up with. This was my first full production blade, and I learned a lot. Build time was over 20 hours on the knife, about 8 hours on the sheath. Let me know what ya think.
Specs: 5160, 1/4"x2"x9" blade quilted maple handle brass bolster 4 layer leather sheath Edge quenched, and heat treated 2 cycles at 425 Passes the paper test and chopped a bunch of hickory with no issues Thanks |

Looks good, although personally I'd skip all the polishing ...
