Ok. I have an O-1 kitchen knife I would like to get a nice patina on, preferably a bluish hue to it. Any ideas? of anyone know what foods will turn it what colors approx? |

Try cuting a nice hot juicy steak, it will leave it blue. Ask how I know. |

I think I saw a post Don Cowles used a fresh cut Lime and rubbed down the blade. You could dilute some cold blue for guns as well and get some real blue color. It gets dark fast though. Have fun! |

Yeah The Cold blue for guns would give you a nice Dark blue Color......I've never used it on a knife for use in the kitchen though, only on Boxcutting utility knives..so you might want to check and see if it is Healthy to use. Eric |
