Another all metal knife (damascus with mokume scales)
Just finished for a customer.
San mai damascus from 1010/1070 with a 5160 core. 4 3/4" overall length, 2 1/2" blade. 5/32" thickness. Mokume handle slabs and lanyard bead. Cable pins. It'll have a leather sheath with a clip for pocket carry that I'm making next week Sign up for my Newsletter: http://server.com/WebApps/mail-list-...cgi?list=79955 Thanks for looking! WOW! Superb work as usual!
Now tell me, just what's in that mokume to give it such a gorgeous contrast? It's AWESOME! |

Thanks!
Even with the mokume (my own 1010/1070/copper) scales, it's not heavy at all, it weights only 80 grams. It's 3.5mm thick (a hair under 5/32", I posted the wrng thickness before) A really nice thickness for its size. Here are some mokume slabs to properly show the contrast Ariel |

Ondrej,
I don't usually sell mokume, I just make it for my own work, that was a very special order for a customer that have/has orders pending with me and Ruben Ariel |

That is too bad for me, but you have my respect for this. Many people would even sell their grandmother, not regarding some ethic aspects. Go on with your nice work, regards from czech republic

You did a great job as usual. The customer should be thrilled with that knife. Your Mokume is also wonderful. Have you ever thought on doing a tutorial on so the rest of us could get results like that someday.
