Number 3

Finally got this together, it was much more work making everything 8 sided and if I could take a decent picture you'd get to see it better. This is the old old saw steel with old old wagon wheel wrought iron fittings and a not so old piece of Africian blackwood for a handle. The whole knife is 6 3/4" long. I tried getting a close up of the blade, its really got some interesting stuff going on in it but you'll just have to take my word on it.

Hey Wayne, how was the vacation?

Bud, these small knives are fun but I'm thinking there more work than the larger ones. Forging the blade is the only easy part, I'm having a heck of a time holding onto the small parts. I drop them in my shop I might as well make another one.....

Holy crow that is a sweet Blade!

Ok, now I have to take a breath. It is customary for folks to put up pics of their work, and then everyone stands around and says, "good work". I generally refrain, from this. In fact, if you search the log, I doubt you will find one instance of my having posted such a response. Not that there isn't good work posted cause there is. Just that I am generally a reserved fellow. And now this. Ray you've ruined it for me, and I have only 1 question. Is there a buyer?? If not, lets talk a bit hey?

Michael, sorry to have ruined you record but appreciate your comment. Lets say these small knives are sort of spoken for but not sure which ones yet. I'm working on number 4 and it should be done in a day or so and this group will be finished except for making the sheaths.

Ray,
That is an exceptional knife! It has clean lines, love that ferrule and butt cap, and you have managed to still keep your "look". Nice job Man.
