Amber Stag Bowie

The owner of this one wanted a Randall-esque Bowie with a D2 blade and stag w/stainless fittings. I tried to give it a Randall type look without being simply a copy.
Blade: 8"
OAL: 13

Gary

BTW: My first effort with a digital camera. Sorry about the false date but haven't gotten far enough to figure how to eliminate it.

I'm a sucker for amber stag, AND mid sized bowies, so you've got my big Aye Aye
Verrrrry nicely done,

Did you do the amber coloration yourself, and if so, how?

This is a piece of sambar that was already dyed by Mother of Pearl that I got at the Arkansas Show this year. Years ago I wasn't a fan of artificially colored stag until last year I saw a bowie of Don Hanson's with this amber stag and fell in love with it immediately.

Nicely done Gary, I remember Don's bowie. It has inspired me to want to use some as well.
