Chicago, Blade West and Plaza Cutlery Knife Shows

regarding the fine show that TKCL member Ed Wormser put on, please point to

Some of the knife pix don't have creators names so any assistance in this regard would be useful. Each image does have a name and #.

This is a new site I have found to host image and the size permitted is good.

A nice way to enjoy the images is to use "slideshow". You can select a number of different intervals and also select a custom "transition" from 2 drop down menus.

Spent more time this past week getting the images ready for the Blade West 2004 knife show. I spent the Friday and Sunday at the show which was at the Ontario Ca. Convention Centre. On the Sat. we headed up to Piru, Ca and spent the day with many knife throwers who were in the Cold Steel Challenge. It was quite an event in an amazing location.

The Blade West show was enjoyed by many collectors of both custom and production knives and there were tables of supplies, knives and related products. On the Sat. a number of seminars were held. I had attended some seminars at a previous BW show and found them very informative and entertaining.

The awards supper an presentation were fun and you will see a montage of the winners along with a list of same.

The site to view about 65 images is http://tinyurl.com/4jhsz

Upon our return from Hawaii, we spent some time in the LA area and then attended the Plaza Cutlery Knife Show presented by Dan Delevan.

This show is a bit different from most as it cost a bit more to attend and
hosts less makers and offers a structure similar to Art Knife Invitational
where one places an intention to offer in boxes and if ones name is drawn a
purchase can be made of the knife selected or if passed, the next person
gets the opportunity.

Hope you enjoy the photos even though the events are a bit in the past.
