Transformer is a Boston Acoustics 120VAC input to 12VAC output.
I used the graphic shown above.
The top blade is 1095. The marks, clockwise from top are: etched and marked, just etched, just marked.
The bottom blade is CPM154. The left mark is just marked. The right mark is just etched.

The process is a bit quicker than with the 12VDC power supply I used to etch the marks shown earlier.

No detectible wear on the stencil.

I used a multi-function electrolyte purchased from USA Knifemaker's Supply. I'll post which one later (at work now).

If I understand it right you can mark AND etch with that setup? But I also understand that it isn't the diode that takes care of that? How come you can etch AND mark?
