2nd Knife

Finished my 2nd Knife. O-1 steel, simple red oak handle with brass pins. Ray this is the one I'm gonna send you to test, just need you to send me the address to mail it to

Very nice for a 2nd attempt. I like the blade especially. 2 points I would comment on are the exaggerated belly on the handle and where the scales at the front come to a point. The first is likely to make an awkward hold and the second will eventually break off. Minor things, on a nice knife.

That knife looks pretty fair although I agree with Ricky about that thin wood at the front of the handle, probably too delicate.

I can't test that knife, what I need is much simpler. Look at the first post in this thread to see what I need for testing:

Just follow that ugly pattern, you can probably print it out. I think that flat spot is about 1" wide. Don't bother to put scales on it, bare steel handle, no fancy finish, but do sharpen it...
