"Close" in Texas is a relative thing. For example, if you drive from Houston to Los Angeles, El Paso Texas is the halfway point. (When my in-laws retired, that's where I tried to get them to move. No such luck.)
God not only blessed us with this great place, he was generous with the portions as well! Sam Houston was from your neighboring state of Tennessee, and he adapted pretty well. I'm sure you will too. __________________ God bless Texas! Now let's secede!! |

Hey there Clif, come on down. Anywhere in Tx. is great, compared to other places. I am in the Waco area, 100 miles due South of Dallas.
