Hey Ron-

I should have asked if you shot the original image at a fairly high resolution...That way when you crop and then enlarge, the details of the image will hold.

A couple of weeks ago you posted pics of one of your fabulous colts...You showed the entire gun centered in the middle of the frame...We could all see that the gun looked good, but it appeared so small in the photo we couldn't make out any details. My suggestion to crop this photo of the Sawby folder was to try and avoid a repeat of that problem.

Unfortunately cropping can't recover detail that's not there in the original photo....

Having said all that, this is a gorgeous knife. I love the large gold ferns...those, and the scrollwork are beautifully executed as always.

Ron, Great job! The design and the gold I think go extremely well with that abalone handle, it flows nicely. The sizes of the leaves and scrolls match the pattern in the shell perfectly.

I got to see this in person over the weekend...
Believe me, photos don't begin to do this justice.

Great knife by Sawby...Mighty nice abalone in those scales.
Ron took it and elevated this to another level.

I loved the deep, crisp scrollwork. Really leaps out at you.
The gold inlay still speaks for itself.

It's a beauty!
