Dave Larsen Skinning Axe

You may have seen this before, but this certainly deserves a looksee here. Dave Larsen made this BIG axe and I had the opportunity to work with him on a montage for it.

The heft, fitment, design, and workmanship all add up to an extraordinary piece. That handle is every bit as ergonomic as it is pretty.

Give praise to Dave on this piece. He built a winner!

Coop

Some fine handle sculpting and pin work going on there. The file work and red filler are a real eye catcher too. Who else could capture it so well? Great job on the pic Coop, always a treat to look at your posts.

It's obvious a lot of work went into this piece!! I love the pins, filework, red filler, overall design, and especially the cool ridges in the handle...... Did I mention I really like this one!! Great job!!

Thanks for the kind words! Coop did a wonderful thing for me taking these pictures of this axe. I've been grinning like a fool for two days.

I cannot recommend Coop highly enough if you want pics taken of your work. He's a delight to correspond with and obviously knows his stuff. If I ever make anything else worth having photographed, you know who's going to do it - Jim Cooper.
