I like those files Alex. Does the 5 1/2" set work with the micro handle or is there a handle available for it? Before you say it, I don't golf .
Thanks,
Jack

New tools

Alex, my order is in! Can't wait for the goodies to arrive! I just want to say that although I have yet to assemble and finish my DDRI, I was very happy with the quality of the kit and the service I received. A pleasure to do business with you! These new files will help in finishing my kit.

These are smart additions to your lineup. Great idea.

Jack,

The 5 1/2's have their own handle, but I didn't get them in with the original items we got. They are scheduled to be here by Wednesday and I'll have them on the site shortly after.

Well-

Looks like one of those "great minds think alike" scenarios...

I already own that "mini-file" set! I bought mine some time ago from one of the catalog companies...and paid considerably more for the exact same set of files and blue aluminum handle.

I carry it with me always in my shoulder bag (just in case if filework emergencies )...and am amazed at how well those little fellows have held up! As always, the first thing I did with the little 3-square was to grind off one side giving me my safety side. And pretty much evertime I require something that small, that's the file I grab. When I was doing the carving on my MOP flowers I needed something small enough to get into all the little nooks and crannies...couln't have done it without this set.

Even with a decent quality set, even the best of files eventually "bite the dust!" ...it's probably time for me to take a close look at my set...especially now that I have a source to buy them at close to half the price I paid!

Dennis,
Yep they are very high quality for the dollar value!
The large set we have as ALEX mentioned will be in Wednesday with a handle included.
The replacement files are a great value.
I tried them in my shop before we made a decision.
We looked a while until we found quality and the price point that we wanted. Most were just not a good value!

Dennis ...

I just re-read your post ... "Emergency Filework"

You're a classic, dude!
For some reason, I don't think you're kidding, either! That's the best part!

Hey Alex, with as much as I carry in that shoulder bag, I have to very carefully weigh the importance of each item that goes in there. I've got a leather zip pouch with spare #2-72 screws, locktite, Tuf-Glide, Torx #######, a couple pieces of fine sandpaper, some polishing papers...and my trusty little set of files.

If I make an unexpected sale and need some quick fine-tuning to satisfy the customer, I'm prepared!

I've got my priorities straight!...

Dennis,
You are on the right track! Most makers carry a tune up kit just in case. I have to commend you here. I dont carry a file work kit.
It's a new level!
