Question Straight Razor Questions

Hello All. I have just about finished a friction folder, and I have been inspired to make myself a straight razor.

But I just have some questions about the edge.
1.) Are they hollow ground, flat ground or moran ground?
2.) Are the ground on both sides, or just on one side (chisel ground)?
3.) If both sides are ground, are they matching grinds (same on both, flat one side hollow on the other, etc)

My experiences with straight razors, have been pretty thin. Just one straight razor shave on my wedding day, all other razor encounters have been of the disposable type.

Thank you all for your responses. Take care guys.

Ok, here is the info needed for your straight razor project:

1. they are extremely hollow ground, very thin behind the edge
2. they are ground on both sides
3. they are ground symmetrically

sharpening is done on a leather belt

Thanks for the quick response Tim, that is what I thought. But I wanted to double check before I take sharp steel to the face.
Thanks again.

You could make a killer Straight Razor with jade slabs. Man that would be cool.
