Clip point

Latest clip point. Pretty proud of this one. CPMS 30V stainless. 1000 grit finish. Brass guard with ironwood. Made the guard by hand. Couple things that you can’t see that show I’m still an amateur but there’s hope. Good thing I get to take the picture.

That looks pretty good, the finish on the blade looks like you got the previous grit scratch lines out as the really start to show up around 1000 grit. Nice job Tex, but you're still letting your pins get a little close to the edge. Otherwise it looks very good Tex.

I still mostly use templates I found online. I went back and looked and most of them have the pins too close to the edge. I’ll be checking and adjusting the layout from now on. Someone suggested 3/16 from the edge. As always thanks for looking and the advice.

Looking good!

Jim mentioned, having the pins in-board more allows more material around them. If you have to take a handle down to size differently you won't be running into those pins or drilled holes. This also allows more shaping-rounding when required for comfort.
